A clean, safe install

What’s included in a TV install?

Most of what makes a wall-mounted TV look right is out of sight: a power point behind the screen, cables run inside the wall, and a bracket fixed to something that will hold it. Running new power inside the wall is electrical work, so it needs an electrician.

Tell us the TV size, the bracket if you have one, the wall type and where the other equipment sits. A photo of the wall helps us plan the job.

  • Mount the TV

Fix the bracket into the wall’s studs or masonry, at the height and angle that suits the room.

  • Power point behind the TV

Add a power point behind the screen, so there are no cords hanging below it.

  • Hidden cables

Run HDMI and other cables through the wall or a neat cover, to a cabinet or a set-top box.

  • Lighting while we’re there

Add a dimmer, wall lights or a soundbar point at the same visit, if you’re updating the room.

Your property

Planning the work in Singletons Mill

Access in Singletons Mill can involve narrow river roads, steep paths or water access. Confirm how the property is reached before a visit is arranged; timing depends on that access as well as the work.

The wall and the cable path

Screen size alone does not determine a safe mount. We check the bracket, wall structure and fixing points, then agree how power and signal cables will reach the screen.

Confirm access before booking

Describe the road, path or water access and how materials can reach the property. We confirm whether the visit can be arranged and the expected timing when you contact us.

The wall

Plasterboard, brick and concrete need different fixings, and a large TV needs the studs or masonry. We check the wall before fixing anything.

Where the cables go

Cables can run inside a hollow wall, or in a neat cover on a solid one. Tell us where the set-top box, console or soundbar will sit.

Your bracket

Fixed, tilting and full-motion brackets suit different rooms and TV sizes. You can supply one, or ask us to.

What the quote covers

The written quote sets out the mounting, any new power point, the cable work and who supplies the bracket.

Your questions

TV wall mounting questions

Can you hide the cables behind the wall?

On a hollow plasterboard wall, usually yes: cables run inside the wall from behind the TV to the cabinet below. On brick or concrete, a neat surface cover is often the practical choice. We check the wall and explain the options in the quote.

Why does the power point need an electrician?

Moving or adding a power point, or running mains power inside a wall, is electrical wiring work. In NSW it must be done by a licensed electrician. Pushing a power cord through the wall is not a safe substitute.

Can you mount a large TV on plasterboard?

A large TV should be fixed into the wall studs, not just the plasterboard. We find the studs and use fixings rated for the TV and bracket. If the studs don’t line up with where you want the TV, we’ll talk you through the options.

Do you supply the bracket?

Either works. Tell us the TV make and size and whether you have a bracket. If you’d like us to supply one, the quote will list it separately.

What access should I arrange for the visit?

Explain how the property is reached, including any water access, narrow road, gate or track, and how equipment can be brought in. We confirm the access arrangements before booking.
