Fault finding, power points, repairs and new circuits, with the existing installation tested before the repair or upgrade is agreed.

Everyday electrical work
What can we fix or add in your home?
A power point that no longer works, a switch that needs replacing or an extra outlet where you use your appliances: everyday jobs still need a clear assessment and a careful finish. We find the cause of faults, explain the repair and plan additions around your existing wiring.
Our electricians work in older houses, apartments and new homes across our Sydney service areas.

Your property
Planning the work in Cattai
For acreage and outlying properties in Cattai, confirm the distance to the work area and how vehicles and equipment can reach it. Outbuildings may have separate boards or supplies.
Repairing the cause
For outdoor outlets, sheds or pumps, tell us the cable distance and whether the fault follows rain or use of particular equipment. Weather exposure and circuit protection affect the repair.
Older wiring and changing loads
Renovations, extensions and new appliances can change what your circuits need to support. We check the existing installation before recommending extra points, rewiring or a switchboard upgrade.
Improvements worth adding at the same time
Options include LED lighting, ceiling and exhaust fans, TV and data cabling, and kitchen or bathroom upgrades. LED upgrades typically use about 75% less energy than traditional lighting.

Home repair and installation questions
Can I book a small electrical job?
Yes. A single power point, a faulty switch or a light that has stopped working is worth booking. Tell us what you need, and include any other small jobs you would like looked at so they can be covered in the same visit and quote.
A photo of the fitting and a note of when the problem happens help us work out what is involved before we arrive.
What if the job needs a larger upgrade?
We check the existing wiring and circuit capacity before agreeing the work. If a repair or addition needs a switchboard upgrade, partial rewiring or another larger installation, we explain why and quote that work separately.
You can then decide what goes ahead and when. If the original job can’t be done safely without the larger work, we explain why before anything is booked.
If a breaker or safety switch keeps tripping, our guide to repair costs and fault finding explains how the investigation is priced.
How much does a residential electrician cost in Sydney?
A standard new power point has a published Sydney range of $150–$290, including GST. Fault diagnosis and repairs depend on the cause, access and parts required, so a power point price does not cover every repair. These are published planning ranges, not Xcel rates. We confirm a written quote for your property and agreed scope before work starts.
How quickly can you attend to residential electrical jobs in Sydney?
For non-emergency work we can usually schedule a visit within a few business days, with same-day service sometimes available for urgent issues. Emergencies are covered by our 24/7 service on 0404 121 983.
We assess urgency when you contact us, confirm the timeframe and call ahead on the appointment day.
What access should I arrange for the visit?
Tell us about driveway access, locked gates, outbuildings and the distance from the switchboard to the work area. Keep the agreed access route clear and arrange for someone to provide entry.
