Your property
Planning the work in Canada Bay
For Canada Bay, confirm the property address, the person authorised to approve the work and any building or tenancy access rules. Our Ryde-based business coordinates the visit with that contact.
Work within the tenancy
For premises in a shared building, obtain contractor rules, loading access and approved hours from management. Shared supplies and common equipment are scoped separately from work inside the tenancy.
Plan the layout first
Decide where counters, displays, equipment and workstations will go before the work is quoted. Planning power, data and lighting together avoids running cable twice.
Who approves the work
In a leased shop or office, the landlord or building manager may need to approve electrical changes. Check approvals and access rules before the quote is finalised.

Questions from shop, café and office owners
How much do commercial electrical services cost in Sydney?
For small-business planning, published standard-job ranges are $150–$290 for one power point and $132–$220 per point for Ethernet data cabling, including GST. A shop, café or office fit-out needs a complete scope for its circuits, equipment, access and operating hours. These are published planning ranges, not Xcel rates. We confirm a written quote for your property and agreed scope before work starts.
What kinds of businesses do you work for?
We work for small businesses in shops, cafés and restaurants, salons, offices, clinics, showrooms and similar premises. Typical jobs include fitouts, lighting upgrades, extra power for equipment, data cabling, fault finding and safety testing.
We don’t take on large commercial buildings or industrial sites. If you’re unsure whether your job suits us, send a short description and we’ll tell you. If your landlord or building manager needs our insurance details before work starts, mention it when you request a quote.
Can you do the electrical work for a shop or office fitout?
Yes. Send the floor plan or a sketch showing where counters, displays, equipment and workstations will go, along with any equipment specifications.
We agree timing with you and your shopfitter, and complete the rough-in and fit-off around the other trades. The work is tested and you receive the paperwork at handover.
Do you install data and phone cabling?
Yes. We install Cat6 data points and phone cabling for registers, workstations, printers, wi-fi access points and cameras, planned with the power layout. Installed points are tested before handover.
If someone manages your IT, include their details with your enquiry. Network equipment and its set-up usually sit with them, so it helps to agree the cabling scope with them first.
Which areas do you cover for commercial work?
We do commercial electrical work across the Ryde area, the Inner West, the North Shore, the Hills District and the Parramatta area. If your premises are near these areas, send the address and we can confirm whether we can help.
For an electrical emergency at your premises, call 0404 121 983 at any hour.
What access should I arrange for the visit?
Keep the work area and switchboard accessible, tell us about parking or locked gates, and arrange entry to any rooms involved. For an apartment or shared building, also check meter-room access, lift bookings and permitted work hours with the building manager. Confirm approval for work affecting common property.
