The work we do

New antenna, extra TV point or reception repair?

A missing channel or pixelated picture can start at the antenna, an outlet or the cabling between them. We check where the problem occurs before recommending a replacement. For a new installation, we plan the antenna position and TV points together so the signal reaches the rooms you use.

  • Antenna installation

Choose and position an antenna around reception conditions, mounting requirements and safe roof access.

  • Reception faults

Investigate pixelation, missing channels and intermittent reception across the antenna, cabling and connections.

  • TV points and distribution

Plan outlets, coaxial cable routes and distribution equipment for the rooms that need free-to-air television.

Your property

Planning the work in Denistone

Homes in Denistone include established houses and attached homes. A previous renovation does not establish the condition or capacity of the wiring.

Test reception before replacing equipment

Older coaxial cabling, splitters and connectors can weaken reception even when the antenna is usable. Roof access and the cable route help determine the repair.

Signal before equipment

An amplifier or replacement antenna is not always the answer. The existing signal and cable condition guide the recommendation.

Shared systems and access

For apartments, establish whether the antenna is common property and arrange building approval and access first.

How it works

From reception check to channel test

  1. Check reception and access

Establish which outlets and channels are affected, inspect the cable path and assess safe access to the antenna or shared equipment.

  2. Agree the equipment and layout

Use the signal assessment to plan antenna, cable or distribution changes. Confirm the mounting, new outlets, access arrangements and price before installation.

  3. Test at the connected outlets

Check reception at the agreed TV points and explain tuning or equipment issues that sit outside the antenna installation.

Your questions

TV antenna and reception questions

Does every reception fault need a new antenna?

No. Cabling, connectors, splitters or tuning can cause similar problems. Diagnosis helps identify which part of the system needs attention.

Can you add a TV point in another room?

Yes. We check the cable route and signal available before adding an outlet. Extra splitters and longer cable runs can affect reception, so the distribution layout is assessed alongside the new point.

Will an amplifier fix pixelation or missing channels?

Only if signal testing shows that it is suitable. An amplifier does not repair damaged coaxial cable, poor connections or an incorrectly positioned antenna, and amplifying an unsuitable signal can make reception worse. We diagnose the cause before recommending equipment.

What if the antenna serves a whole apartment building?

Ask the building or strata manager whether other units are affected and who manages the shared system. A fault at one outlet and a building-wide fault need different checks. Access and approval for shared equipment should be arranged before work is booked.

What access should I arrange for the visit?

Keep the work area and switchboard accessible, tell us about parking or locked gates, and arrange entry to any rooms involved. Mention restricted ceiling or underfloor access when enquiring; you do not need to enter these spaces yourself.
